Club Prospect Dominic , ran 16.1 , nearly making the 15.99 cut off for club membership . He had a great weekend , putting in 30+ passes . The car is coming apart and off the floorpan over the winter for a complete re-paint . The engine ( 1776cc ) will be having some head-work and a bit of tinkering to get him in the 15's . Well done so far Dom ( he's 21 i think , doing well for a youngun )

At Drag Day 3 , Santa Pod ( VW Action ) , with the Rancho Pro-Drag fitted back in the car , Neal ran a new personal best of 12.9 , congratulations Neal !

Neal's original Rancho Pro-Drag , was given an overhaul and a freshen up by John Walklett . The axles were polished and refitted to the box .

The Rancho Pro-Comp that was in the car , was removed , it's going to be used in another club cra project .

Alex Sping's Oval

After a lot of work , correcting other peoples work , and with a final hard few days with Alex helping me , we finally got the car finished MOT'd and on the road the morning of the 3rd UK Drag Day . I drove the car up to Santa Pod and Alex ran a few gentle 15 second passes .

UK Drag Day 2 York Raceway

This weekend saw some hardcore action at the second UK Drag Day , held at York Raceway in Yorkshire . Some great wheelie action entertained the crowd , while Paul Hamilton from VWSpeedshop was out testing his Turbo T1 engined Bay Panel Van . He only got in 2 runs as an oil leak dripping onto the turbo stopped further play . He did however run a 13.2 first run and a 12.0 @ 114 mph second run , backing off in third as it was wheelspinning as the boost came in , awesome . His previous best was a 12.6 last year . Best of all , he drove the van the 2.5 hours from his home to the track and back , hats off to him . Dirty Nige's time in the other lane .
